及び暦年の貢使を務める人々を充てるため、故にその字と爵位を併せて列記し、考証の備えとする。

蔡氏は元々福建泉州府晋江県の人である《割注：明史実録によれば成化五年、長史蔡璟が入貢した際に自ら述べたところでは、その祖は南安県の人である》。宋の端明学士襄の後裔で、十二世まで合計八十一人がいる。

The Cai clan originally came from Jinjiang County, Quanzhou Prefecture, Fujian Province. 《Note: According to the Ming Veritable Records, in the fifth year of Chenghua, when Chief Clerk Cai Jing came to pay tribute, he stated that his ancestor was from Nan'an County》 They are descendants of Song Dynasty Scholar of the Duanming Hall Xiang, with twelve generations totaling eighty-one people.
