現代語訳
栄えある人々は幼少より成人に至るまで俸給を賜り養育され、師を立てて子を教え、深く国恩を蒙っている。更に当然その功を倍加し、上は教養の恩に負かず、これ無愧なり」とある。蔡文溥は康熙二十五年に太学に入り読書した生徒の一人であったので、故にその言葉に次序があるのである。
官生の国学入学読書について
本朝康熙二十三年、使臣汪楫・林麟焻が代わって「遠人が化に向かい、子弟を遣わして入学読書せしめんことを求む」と題請した。二十五年に尚貞王は官生梁成楫・蔡文溥・阮維新を国学に入れて読書させた。二十七年九月に入監し、上は特に教習一人を設けた。福建の鄭某が一年教習し、寧波の貢生徐振が三年教習した。徐振は議敘により□同として即用された。官生三人は皆都通事の例に照らし、日々鶏一羽、肉二斤、茶五銭、□一斤、椒・醤油・菜等を皆備給された。毎年春秋には□綿□袍掛・紡糸・紬褲各一着、涼帽一つ、靴襪各一双、夏には□紗袍掛・羅衫褲各一着、冬には緞面羊皮袍掛□□□各一着、皮帽・皮靴・絨襪・被褥俱に備えられた。従人も皆賜物があった。毎月紙□□筆に銀一両五銭、皆鴻臚寺より関給された。二十九年、貢使の耳目官温允傑・正議大夫金元達が到京し、国王は官生の帰国を請い、賜宴があり各々雲緞・紬・布等の物を給し、伝を乗じて遣帰させた。

The honored people have been granted stipends and raised from childhood to adulthood, with teachers established to educate their children, deeply receiving the nation's grace. They should naturally redouble their efforts and not fail the grace of education and nurturing above - this would be without shame." Cai Wenpu was one of the students who entered the Imperial Academy to study in the 25th year of Kangxi, so his words have such order and sequence.
Regarding Official Students Entering the National Academy for Study
In the 23rd year of Kangxi of this dynasty, envoys Wang Ji and Lin Linzhuo petitioned on behalf [of Ryukyu], stating "distant peoples turn toward civilization and request to send their sons and younger brothers to enter school for study." In the 25th year, King Sho Tei sent official students Liang Chengji, Cai Wenpu, and Ruan Weixin to enter the National Academy for study. In the ninth month of the 27th year they entered the Imperial Academy, and His Majesty specially appointed one instructor. Zheng [surname] from Fujian taught for one year, and tribute student Xu Zhen from Ningbo taught for three years. Xu Zhen was recommended for appointment as [rank unclear] for immediate use. The three official students all received daily provisions following the precedent of chief interpreters: one chicken, two jin of meat, five qian of tea, one jin of [unclear], pepper, soy sauce, vegetables, etc., all provided. Every year in spring and autumn they received cotton robes and jackets, spun silk, silk trousers one each, cool hats one each, boots and socks one pair each; in summer gauze robes and jackets, silk shirts and trousers one each; in winter satin-faced sheepskin robes and jackets one each, fur hats, leather boots, woolen socks, bedding all provided. Attendants all received gifts as well. Monthly they received paper, brushes, and one tael five qian of silver, all distributed by the Court of State Ceremonials. In the 29th year, tribute envoys Inspector Wen Yunjie and Senior Counselor Jin Yuanda arrived in the capital. The king requested the return of the official students; they were given a farewell banquet and each presented with cloud-pattern damask, silk, cotton cloth and other goods, and sent home by official transport.
