旨冊封琉球礼畢宴語王令通事致詞云本国僻処海
外荒陋成風於康熙二十五年奉
旨許遣官生阮維新蔡文溥等三人入学読書今得略
知文教皆
皇上之賜也自此三十年来無従上請今幸
天遣使臣至国求照前使汪楫代請入学読書旧例陳
明遠人向化之意倘蒙
諭允得照前例再遣官生入学読書則
皇上文教益広矣
礼部謹題為奏
聞事礼科抄出差回琉球冊封正使翰林院検討海宝

謹んで
奏す、奏請の事について。臣等は
旨を奉じて琉球を冊封し、礼を畢えて宴語の際、王は通事に命じて詞を致さしめて云う。「本国は海外に僻処し、荒陋が風を成しているが、康熙二十五年に
旨を奉じて官生阮維新・蔡文溥等三人を遣わして入学読書せしめることを許された。今やや文教を知ることを得たのは、皆
皇上の賜である。この三十年来、上請する由がなかったが、今幸いに
天が使臣を国に遣わされたので、前使汪楫が代請した入学読書の旧例に照らして、遠人の向化の意を陳明することを求める。もし
諭允を蒙り、前例に照らして再び官生を遣わして入学読書せしめることを得れば、
皇上の文教益々広まるであろう」と。
礼部謹んで題す、奏聞の事について。礼科より抄出す。差回琉球冊封正使翰林院検討海宝、副使翰林院編修徐葆光等が康熙五十九年七月十五日に到部したことを奏す。該当の臣等が議して得たところでは、

Memorialize regarding a matter of petition. We ministers, having received
Imperial orders to invest Ryukyu, completed the ceremonies and during the banquet conversation, the King commanded an interpreter to present these words: "Our country is situated in a remote corner beyond the seas, with crude customs prevailing. In the 25th year of Kangxi, we received
Imperial permission to send official students Ruan Weixin, Cai Wenpu and two others to enter school for study. Now having gained some knowledge of literary education, this is all due to
Your Majesty's gracious bestowment. For these thirty years since, we have had no means to petition above. Now fortunately
Heaven has sent envoy ministers to our country, so we seek to follow the precedent of former envoy Wang Ji who petitioned on our behalf for school entry and study, to clearly express the intention of distant peoples turning toward civilization. If we should be blessed with
Imperial consent and permission to again send official students to enter school for study following the former precedent, then
Your Majesty's literary education would spread even more widely."

Extracted from the Bureau of Ceremonies: Returning Ryukyu investiture Chief Envoy Hanlin Academy Reviewer Hai Bao and Vice Envoy Hanlin Academy Editor Xu Baoguang and others memorialized their arrival at the Ministry on the 15th day of the 7th month of the 59th year of Kangxi.
