聞召され殊に不可然事に思召され候を以て

聞き及ばれ、特に好ましくないことと思し召され、新銀を造り出すことを停止された。この上はなお一層、金銀の品質を元のように戻すべきことを日々御心を尽くされている。ただし、天下の宝は天下と共に宝とすべき物である以上、思し召しのままに御決定なされ難い御事である。たとえ今日、金銀の品質を元のようになし返し、その量の半分を減らしたとしても、慶長以前の代々に比べれば、天下の財用はなお豊かになることは万々倍であろう。
