被遊御揃益御機嫌克被成御座
恐悦至極奉存候然共建福寺

現代語訳
一筆啓上いたします。秋冷の季節でございますが、皆様お揃いでますますご機嫌よくお過ごしのこと、恐悦至極に存じます。さて、建福寺の老和尚の件につきまして、先頃江戸へ出府いたしましたところ、先月下旬より病気を患いましたため、格別のお手当てを賜り、次々とご厚恩を蒙り、有り難い仕合わせと存じております。お陰をもちまして、追々快気いたしました段、建福寺一同安心いたしております。恐れ入りますが、お時間のある折に、ご厚恩の御礼として、お上様へよろしくお取り計らいくださいますようお願い申し上げます。まずは右の御礼を申し上げたく、このように書状をしたためました。恐惶謹言。

Respectfully taking up the brush to write. Though it is the season of autumn's chill, we are extremely delighted to know that you are all together in good health and spirits. Regarding the matter of the head priest of Kenpuku-ji Temple, when he recently went up to Edo, he fell ill from late last month, and we are most grateful for the exceptional medical care and continuous kindness you have bestowed upon him. Thanks to your benevolence, he has gradually recovered, and all at Kenpuku-ji Temple are relieved. We humbly request that when you have the opportunity, you might graciously convey our gratitude for your kindness to your lord. First, we wished to express our thanks for the above matter, and thus we have written this letter. With fear and respectful words.
