敷金ニ而売渡申家屋之事
一 私等家屋舗表口五間裏行町並大境迄押通
寅ノ八月より子ノ三月迄中十年季ニ相定売
渡し申所実正也為此敷金新金五拾両唯今
慥受取申所明白也然上は御伝馬壱疋其外
御役儀共町所ニ御勤被成候年季明右之金子
返済申今庄屋敷無相違御返し被有此屋敷
ニ付諸親類は不及申他之構毛頭なく御座候
縦御役代御奉行ニ而や何様之儀出来候共
五人組何方迄も罷出急度埒明可申候為後日
売渡之證文仍而如件 下町

敷金による家屋敷売渡しに関する文書
一、私どもの家屋敷は表口五間、奥行きは町並みから大境まで押し通しであります。寅年八月から子年三月まで中十年間の期限を定めて売り渡し申すところ、真実でございます。このための敷金として新金五十両を、ただ今確かに受け取り申したことは明白でございます。そのうえは御伝馬一疋、その他の御役儀とも、町所でお勤めいただく約束でございます。年季が明けましたら右の金子を返済申し上げ、この庄屋敷を間違いなくお返しいたします。この屋敷について諸親類はもちろんのこと、他からの異議申し立ては全くございません。たとえ御役代や御奉行などから何らかの問題が生じたとしても、五人組がどこまでも出向いて必ず解決いたします。後日のため売渡しの証文として、よって書き付けます。

Document Regarding the Sale of House and Property with Security Deposit
Item: Our house and property has a frontage of five ken and extends from the street to the large boundary. We hereby sell this property for a fixed term of ten years from the eighth month of the Tiger year to the third month of the Rat year. This is the truth. As security deposit for this transaction, we have just now certainly received fifty ryō in new gold, which is evident. Furthermore, [the buyer] shall perform one post-horse service and other official duties at the town office. When the term expires, we shall repay the aforementioned money and return this manor property without fail. Regarding this property, neither various relatives nor any other parties have any objections whatsoever. Even if any issues arise from the official representatives or magistrates, the five-man group will go anywhere necessary to resolve matters promptly. This deed of sale is written for future reference.
