貞昭様御休息江被為召勤番致長詰大儀ニ被
思召之旨 御意之上御手自御紋裏附御上下被下
置候事
一 同月先務以来精出相勤当務別而心力を尽
宜相勤候ニ付格別ニ御役料百石被下置之旨被

欽文様御誕生ニ付彼是致勤労候ニ付御召御小袖

元御馬之内三春出生青毛壱疋被下置候
但前廉御内意ニ而数多之御馬共大書院

被下候間望申上候様御懇之御意奉蒙候処
現代語訳
一 貞昭様が休息所にお召しになり、勤番で長時間詰めており大変であるとお思いになった旨を直接お言葉をかけられ、お手ずから紋付きの裏地付き上下を下賜された。
一 同月、先の職務以来精を出して勤め、当職務において特に心力を尽くしてよく勤めているので、格別に役料百石を下賜する旨仰せ出された。
一 同年十一月、貞昭様が休息所にお召しになり、欽文様のご誕生につきあれこれと勤労したので、お召しの小袖を下賜する旨を直接お言葉をかけられ、お手ずから下賜された。
一 文化元年（1804）三月、貞昭様が休息所にお召しになり、勤番で長時間詰めており大変であるとお思いになった旨を直接お言葉をかけられ、裏地付きの継ぎ上下をお手ずから下賜された。
一 同月、貞昭様から御膳番の芥川初太郎を使者として、お手元の馬の中から三春産の青毛一頭を下賜された。
ただし、事前にご内意があり、多数の馬を大書院前において拝見するよう仰せ付けられ、その中で気に入った馬を下賜するので望みを申し上げるようにとのご懇切なお言葉を承ったところ
英語訳
- Lord Sadaaki summoned him to his rest quarters and, having directly expressed that he thought it must be arduous to serve long shifts on guard duty, personally bestowed upon him a formal court dress (kamishimo) with family crest and lining.
- In the same month, having worked diligently since his previous duties and particularly exerting his utmost effort in his current position, he was granted an exceptional stipend of 100 koku as announced by official decree.
- In November of the same year, Lord Sadaaki summoned him to his rest quarters, and because he had worked diligently in various matters related to the birth of Lord Kinbun, he was granted a formal silk garment (kosode) with direct words from the lord and personally bestowed by his hand.
- In March of Bunka 1 (1804), Lord Sadaaki summoned him to his rest quarters and, having directly expressed that he thought it must be arduous to serve long shifts on guard duty, personally bestowed upon him a formal court dress with lining and patches.
- In the same month, Lord Sadaaki sent Akutagawa Hatsutaro, a dining attendant, as a messenger to bestow upon him one blue-coated horse born in Miharu from among the lord's personal stable.
Note: Previously, there had been a private indication that many horses would be displayed in front of the main reception hall for inspection as commanded, and he was graciously told to express his preference as a horse that pleased him would be bestowed upon him.
