渡来之程難計候間追々出帆候様勿論跡立者
小勢之事故全き防禦之見込ハ有之間敷候へ

渡来の程度は計り難いので、順次出帆するように、もちろん後発隊は小勢のことなので完全な防御の見込みはないであろうが、かねてからその旨を含んでおくようにと達しがあったため、当隊は後発で引き取るように、また北原采女方出帆後、罰条を延期し難い義については御目付に相談して決断を取り行う旨を申し聞かせた。
ただし、御人数引き上げ方の義について、前もって伝十郎殿が梶原佐右衛門に申し聞かせたのは、もし異国船の渡来がなければ7月中までに見切りをもって御指図申すので、異議なく引き払うようにとのことであった。引き上げ方の義について御内々で御知らせ下さったところでは、当所は一昨年も9月中に異賊が乱妨を行い、両年にわたって乱妨を行ったため、戍衛があるべき義であるが、秋が更けては当所に留まり難い段も理解し、引き払い後に渡来があっては当家へ戍衛を仰せ付けられた詮もなく、遺念の至りであるので、異国から通航し難い時節に至って引き払うのが然るべき義である。しかし時節が遅れては自然と越年に至らざるを得ない義ではなく、糧米並びに諸品の御手配、総人数の料が調達できない義であれば、せめて小人数でなりとも在陣いたしたい旨を書面をもって申し立て、なお当6日采女一同で伝十郎殿陣屋に参り、万一引き払い後に異賊渡来があっては遺念この
