伊那県御支配所野口村三五郎儀酒造稼致度申候ニ付元治
元子年ゟ戌年迄代治名前ニ而酒造一式貸渡右年
限中稼致候処今度御趣意ニ而居村江引取候様
節御沙汰奉畏候得共只今之義ニ而者多分之代貸方

恐れながら
伊那県御支配所野口村の三五郎が酒造業を営みたいと申し出ておりますが、元治元年（1864年）から戌年（明治2年・1869年）まで代治の名前で酒造一式を貸し渡し、その年限中に営業をしておりました。この度の御方針により居住村に引き取るようにとの御指示を畏れ多く承りましたが、現在の状況では多額の貸付金も追々増加している状況であり、引き払いの件は困難でございます。恐れながら三五郎の願い通り、御慈悲をもってお聞き届けくださいますよう願い上げます。

右の願書を中町町代市郎右衛門が持参するはずでしたが、伊右衛門と治郎左衛門両家の酒造に関することであれば、両名で願書を差し出すべきところ、伊右衛門に尋ねたところ、三五郎の件は大家の取り扱いではないので、私の方からは口上書を差し出すということで願い上げると申し聞かせたため、治郎左衛門の願書奥書は行わず、伊右衛門の口上書のみを金左衛門・庄兵衛両人で民政局へ出向き、池田貞人殿へ差し出しました。これについて三五郎は別段願書2通を出しましたが差し出さず、口上書の御指示により双方で願書を差し出すつもりで持ち帰りました。しかしながら三五郎が伊那県からの添書を持参したため、年限中両人を呼び置くよう高橋源七殿からの御指示となりましたので、願書を中町町代に渡しました。10月28日

Concerning Sangoro of Noguchi Village under Ina Prefecture's jurisdiction who wishes to engage in sake brewing business: From the first year of Genji era (1864) to the year of the dog (Meiji 2, 1869), the entire sake brewing operation was lent out under the name of Daiji, and business was conducted during that period. Although we humbly received the recent directive to return to the home village according to the current policy, given the present circumstances where substantial loans continue to increase, withdrawal proves difficult. We humbly request that Sangoro's petition be mercifully granted as requested.

To the Magistrate's Office
The above petition was to be delivered by Nakamachi town representative Ichiroemon, but since this concerns the sake brewing of both the Iemon and Jirozaemon households, both parties should have submitted the petition together. When Iemon was consulted, he stated that Sangoro's matter was not under the management of the main house, so he would submit an oral statement from his side, and thus petitioned accordingly. Therefore, Jirozaemon's petition endorsement was not made, and only Iemon's oral statement was taken by Kinzaemon and Shobei to the Civil Administration Bureau and presented to Lord Ikeda Sadato. Regarding this, although Sangoro prepared two separate petition documents, they were not submitted. Following instructions regarding the oral statement, both parties intended to submit petitions and took them back. However, since Sangoro brought an accompanying letter from Ina Prefecture, Lord Takahashi Genshichi instructed that both parties should be summoned during the term period, so the petition was handed over to the Nakamachi town representative.
