現代語訳
恐れながら申し上げます。
私は先般お願い申し上げておりました松本藩の支配地である平田村の藤兵衛が所有する酒株の譲り受けをお願い申し上げておりましたが、同人の方で問題が生じ、譲渡することができなくなったとの報告がございました。つきましては、伊那県の支配地である福与村の所平治が所有する酒株を譲り受ける話がまとまりましたので、先に藤兵衛の所有株についてお願い申し上げていた件を所平治の株に変更いたしたく、お願いを取り下げたく存じます。
右の件につきまして、ご慈悲をもってお願い申し上げます通りお聞き届けくださいますよう、ひとえにお願い申し上げます。以上

I had previously petitioned to purchase a sake brewing license (sake-kabu) owned by Toubei of Hirata Village under the jurisdiction of Matsumoto Domain. However, complications arose on his side, making the transfer impossible. Therefore, I have arranged to purchase a sake brewing license owned by Shohei of Fukuyoshi Village under the jurisdiction of Ina Prefecture. I would like to withdraw my previous petition regarding Toubei's license and substitute it with a petition for Shohei's license.
Regarding the above matter, I humbly request your merciful consideration and approval of this petition.
