恐れながら嘆願書をもって申し上げる件
一、私は多町において東側十四番（表間口七間半、裏行十間半）の他所の木材等を
頂戴し、早速家を建てるべきところ、二度の凶作により、あれこれと
延期してしまい、さらに今度もご指示を受ける次第となり、何とも重々
恐れ入っております。この上は今年十二月二十日までには間違いなく家を建てますので、
何卒ご慈悲をもって願いの通りお取り計らいいただければ、ありがたい次第と存じます。

One, I have received timber and other materials from elsewhere for lot number fourteen on the east side of Tamachi (frontage: seven and a half ken, depth: ten and a half ken), and was to build a house immediately, but due to two years of poor harvests, I have had to postpone construction repeatedly. Now I have received official instructions again, for which I am deeply apologetic. From now on, I will certainly complete the house construction by the twentieth day of the twelfth month of this year. I humbly request that you grant my petition with your compassion, which would be most gratifying.
