現代語訳
理兵衛の別家である代治に譲り渡し、伊右衛門と理兵衛が共同で所有していた道具を使って酒造業を営んできたところ、現在の治郎左衛門の代になって、去る元治元年（1864年）に野口村の三五郎に酒造一式を貸し出し、家賃や運上金などを自由にしたため経営困難となり、事情を調査してもらいたいと願い出た、と申し立てている。
治郎左衛門の返答の趣旨は、先代が共同所有していた酒造株を有右衛門に貸し出した際に休株を命じられ、その後同人が訴訟などを起こした株について、理兵衛の息子多吉の弟が別家を立てて住んでいた代治が、譲受代金十二両を支払って所有することになった。もともと同家とは睦まじく、支障なく商売を行ってきた。ところで両家持ちの休株の代替として引き取ることになったため、株代金四十八両を代治から両家に支払ったので、酒造株は完全に代治が所有するものと理解していた。享和三年（1803年）に代治が死去したため、息子の治郎左衛門が跡式を相続した。文化二年（1805年）に本家の多吉が死去し、相続人がいないため

The sake brewing business was transferred to Daiji, who was from a branch family of Rihe, and they continued operating the sake brewing business using equipment jointly owned by Iemon and Rihe. However, during the current Jirōzaemon's time, in the first year of Genji (1864), they lent the entire sake brewing operation to Sangoro of Noguchi village, and because they allowed him to freely handle rent and taxes, they fell into financial difficulty and requested an investigation of the circumstances.
Jirōzaemon's response was as follows: When the previous generation lent their jointly-owned sake brewing license to Uemon, they were ordered to suspend operations.
