現代語訳
一、（儒礼葬祭に）改めたい旨、願いの通り認められた。
一、延享2丑年（1745年）2月、武芸が優れている段につき、御称美を下された。
一、同年9月、御書物の写しを仰せ付けられ、同10月までに整え差し上げた。
但し、右の内（その期間中）、御番の御用捨を下された。
一、同年12月、右の御書物の写しを差し上げたことにつき、御城において御吸物・御酒を下し置かれた。
一、寛延4未年（1751年）8月、頭・三宅孫兵衛が若年寄を仰せ付けられ、跡御役として簗瀬求馬組に罷り成った。
一、宝暦2申年（1752年）6月22日、57歳にて病死。謐名、子屋惣左衛門茂存。葬所、大窪山。

Item: [Regarding the change to Confucian-style funeral rites,] his petition to make the change was approved as requested.
Item: In the 2nd month of the 2nd year of Enkyō, the year of the Ox (1745), he was praised (御称美) for his exceptional martial arts accomplishments.
Item: In the 9th month of the same year, he was ordered to produce a copy of official documents (御書物写), which he completed and submitted by the 10th month of the same year.
Note: During this period, he was exempted from his castle guard duties (御番御用捨).
Item: In the 12th month of the same year, having submitted the copy of the said official documents, he was presented with soup (御吸物) and sake (御酒) at the castle.
Item: In the 8th month of the 4th year of Kan'en, the year of the Sheep (1751), his unit commander Miyake Magobei was appointed as wakadoshiyori (若年寄, junior elder), and [Sōzaemon] was transferred to the unit of Yanase Kyūma as the successor assignment.
Item: On the 22nd day of the 6th month of the 2nd year of Hōreki, the year of the Monkey (1752), he died of illness at the age of 57. Posthumous name (謐名): Koya Sōzaemon Shigeyuki (茂存). Place of burial: Ōkuboyama.
