現代語訳
一、同年（文化5年・1808年）正月、蝦夷地御固めの御用を仰せ付けられ、出立仕り候につき、大書院において御目見仕り、小書院にて御流頂戴仕り候。
但し、右の節、道中小荷駄差配を仰せ付けられ、費用の補いとして金壱両を下し置かれた。
一、同年（1808年）6月、組一同リイシリ島（利尻島）へ罷り越し候よう仰せ付けられ、これにつき、御目付・伊東何右衛門が御先の御用につき利尻島へ罷り越し候跡、御目付仮役を仰せ付けられ、彼の地へ罷り越し候。
一、同年（1808年）7月、彼の地引払い候よう仰せ出され候節、後殿を仰せ付けられ、御目付・伊東何右衛門が先立って引払い候跡、又々御目付仮役を仰せ付けられ、道中引き通し相勤め候。
一、同年（1808年）9月、帰陣仕り候につき、大書院において御目見を仰せ付けられ候。

Item: In the 1st month of the same year (Bunka 5, 1808) [continued from the previous page], having been ordered to serve in the defense of Ezo, he departed for his assignment. Prior to his departure, he was granted an audience (御目見) in the Great Audience Chamber (大書院), and in the Small Audience Chamber (小書院) he received the lord's sake cup (御流頂戴).
Note: On this occasion, he was also ordered to oversee the pack-horse train (小荷駄) during the journey, and was granted one ryō of gold as a supplement for expenses.
Item: In the 6th month of the same year (1808), his entire unit was ordered to proceed to Rishiri Island (リイシリ島). In connection with this, as the inspector (御目付) Itō Nanigaemon had already proceeded to Rishiri Island for advance duties, he was appointed to serve as acting inspector (御目付仮役) and proceeded to that location.
Item: In the 7th month of the same year (1808), when the order was issued to withdraw from that location, he was assigned to serve as rear guard (後殿). As the inspector Itō Nanigaemon had withdrawn ahead of him, he was once again appointed as acting inspector, and carried out his duties throughout the journey back.
Item: In the 9th month of the same year (1808), upon returning to the domain (帰陣), he was granted an audience in the Great Audience Chamber.
