現代語訳
一 寛文十年（戌年）七月、二十石三人扶持を
下し置かれる。
鳳翔院様の御祐筆として召し出される。
但し、同年十月まで、
土津様・鳳翔院様が御在国なされたため、
御本丸・三の丸へ■合（詰め合わせ）相勤め
候事。
一 同年九月、本苗を「名子屋」と改め
たき旨、願いの通り許される事。
一 同年十月、
土津様が御参府なされたため、御供仕り
罷り登り、翌年（亥年）春まで一陣（第一番手）を相勤め申した処、
林七太夫が病気のため御暇を下されたゆえ、
代わりとして直ちに芝の御屋敷へ参り相勤める様
仰せ付けられ、翌亥年十月に罷り下った事。
一 同（寛文）十二年（子年）二月、
土津様の御参府の節、御供仕り罷り登り、相
勤める内に御逝去あそばされたため、
御尊骸の御供仕り罷り下り、御柩（みひつぎ）
三の丸に御座なされている間、相勤め、それより

One entry: In the 7th month of Kanbun 10 (1670, the year of the Dog), [he] was granted a stipend of 20 koku and 3 persons' rations.
[He] was summoned to serve as a personal secretary (yūhitsu) to Lady Hōshōin.
Note: Until the 10th month of the same year,
as Lord Hōtsusama and Lady Hōshōin were residing in the domain,
[he] served in attendance between the Main Keep (Honmaru) and the Third Enclosure (Sannomaru).
One entry: In the 9th month of the same year, the request to change [his] family name to "Nakoya" was granted as petitioned.
One entry: In the 10th month of the same year,
As Lord Hōtsusama departed for Edo (sankō), [he] accompanied [him] and traveled up to the capital, serving in the first rotation (ichijin) until the spring of the following year (the year of the Boar). As Hayashi Shichidayū fell ill and was given leave, [he] was ordered to go directly to the Shiba residence as a replacement and serve there, and descended [to the domain] in the 10th month of the following year of the Boar.
One entry: In the 2nd month of Kanbun 12 (1672, the year of the Rat),
During Lord Hōtsusama's journey to Edo, [he] accompanied [him] and traveled up [to the capital]. While serving [there], Lord Hōtsusama passed away,
and [he] accompanied the honored remains back [to the domain]. While the coffin
was placed in the Third Enclosure (Sannomaru), [he] continued to serve, and thereafter…
