一、同七午年（文化七年・1810年）二月、親（養父）幾右衛門の願い出の通り、御番代を仰せ付けられ、日向三郎右衛門組にて御城御番を相勤め候事。
一、同月、太子流剣術の締め方（まとめ役・指導役）を勤めるよう仰せ付けられ、御城御番ならびに居役着到（出勤点呼）を御免成され候事。
一、同月、実父佐五右衛門が拝領し置き候御紋の御小袖・御上下を貰い置き候ところ、冥加のために着用仕りたき旨を願い申し上げ候ところ、願いの通り仰せ付けられ候事。
一、同年三月、頭（組頭）日向三郎右衛門の願い出の通り隠居を仰せ付けられ、跡（後任の）御役は小原帯刀組へ罷り成り候事。
一、同年十一月、相州組外様士を仰せ付けられ候事。

Item: In the second month of the seventh year of Bunka (1810), the Year of the Horse, in accordance with the petition of his adoptive father Ikuemon, he was appointed as a castle guard substitute (o-ban-dai), and served guard duty at the castle in the unit of Hyūga Saburōemon.
Item: In the same month, he was appointed to serve as the instructor/coordinator (shimeri-kata) of the Taishi-ryū school of swordsmanship, and was consequently exempted from castle guard duty and attendance roll call (iyaku-chakutō).
Item: In the same month, he had in his possession an honorific kosode (short-sleeved kimono bearing the lord's crest) and formal hakama ensemble (kamishimo) that his biological father Sagoemon had previously received as gifts from the lord. He petitioned to be permitted to wear these out of piety and gratitude (myōga), and his petition was granted accordingly.
Item: In the third month of the same year, in accordance with the petition of his unit commander (kashira) Hyūga Saburōemon, the said commander was granted retirement, and the subsequent post was transferred to the unit of Obara Tachi.
Item: In the eleventh month of the same year, he was appointed as an outside retainer (tozama-shi) of the Sōshū unit.
Item: In the ninth month of the eighth year of Bunka (1811), the Year of the Sheep, he was ordered to travel to Sōshū (Sagami Province) for duty rotation (kinban), and was instructed to travel up to the capital while attending to the needs of the official horse(s) along the way.
