寒冷御座候得共
先以愈御安泰被為渡
奉大賀候随而
御賢息様ニ者
御安清 御在坂
被成坂地おゐても
毎々拝顔御懇命
被成下難有奉存候

現代語訳
寸毫をもって啓上仕り候
寒冷にございますが
まずもってますます御安泰でいらっしゃることを
大変お慶び申し上げます。ついては
御賢息様におかれましては
御安清にて御在坂
なされ、坂地（大坂の地）においても
度々お目にかかり御懇命を
賜り、有難く存じ奉ります
さて私どものことですが、このたびは
英語訳
I humbly write with my poor brush.
Though it is cold,
first and foremost, I greatly congratulate you
on your continued good health and prosperity. Furthermore,
regarding your wise son,
he is in good health and residing in Osaka,
and even in the Osaka area,
I frequently have the honor of meeting him and receiving
his kind instructions, for which I am most grateful.
