折目ヶ原
琴平山
薬師堂光泉寺 当時に近衛公の真跡を蔵す
｜西（サイ）の｜川原（カハラ） 此磧中にも又ゝ鉱泉数か所湧出し｜動（エルギ）石、木の葉石
等の奇物あり
氷谷 浴場より西に方り半里許りを隔ちたる山間の岩穴に
して穴中常に堅氷を蔵し盛夏の候にても嘗て融解せず又
奇谷と謂ふべし

源を白根山中に発して山麓に出て澁嶺越を横断せる水流
にして古来毒水と云伝ふれども之を飲んで斃れたる者あ
るを聞かず少して腹痛下痢を起す者は稀にあり安政の頃
高野長英氏行人の為に「ドクミヅ」の四字と左手を以て口
を抑へ右手を以て水流を指し居る人像を刻したる石を建
てたりしに可惜明治十五年白根山噴出の時流出して所在
を知らす後松浦弘氏も亦行人の誤り飲まんことを憂いて
再ひ碑を建つ書は市川万庵氏なり然るに何者か之を破毀

薬師堂光泉寺 当寺には近衛公の真筆を所蔵している
西の河原 この河原の中にもまた鉱泉が数か所湧き出し、動石（どうせき）、木の葉石等の珍しいものがある
氷谷 浴場より西に向かって半里ほど離れた山間の岩穴で、穴の中は常に堅い氷を蔵し、真夏でも決して溶けることがない。また奇谷と言うべきである。

源を白根山中に発して山麓に出て渋峠越を横断する水流で、古来毒水と言い伝えられているが、これを飲んで死んだ者があることは聞かない。少し腹痛や下痢を起こす者はまれにある。安政の頃、高野長英氏が行人のために「ドクミヅ」の四字と、左手で口を押さえ右手で水流を指している人像を刻した石を建てたが、惜しくも明治十五年白根山噴火の時に流出して所在が分からなくなった。後に松浦弘氏もまた行人が誤って飲むことを心配して再び碑を建てた。書は市川万庵氏によるものである。しかし何者かがこれを破壊した。

Poison Water
A stream that originates in Mount Shirane and emerges at the foot of the mountain, crossing the Shibutoge Pass. It has been called "poison water" since ancient times, but we have not heard of anyone dying from drinking it. Rarely, some people experience stomach pain and diarrhea. Around the Ansei period, Takano Choei erected a stone carved with the four characters "DOKUMIZU" and a human figure with the left hand covering the mouth and the right hand pointing to the water flow, as a warning to travelers. Regrettably, it was washed away during the eruption of Mount Shirane in Meiji 15, and its whereabouts became unknown. Later, Matsuura Hiroshi, also concerned that travelers might mistakenly drink from it, erected another monument. The calligraphy was by Ichikawa Man'an. However, someone destroyed it.
