綱昌公御代延宝九辛酉年被召出
当妹尾与左衛門義連《割書：本国下総 生国越前｜姓大江 父ハ川崎次郎左衛門義次》
先祖妹尾上野介儀代々北条家ニ属シ罷有候由于今証文
等所持仕候其後結城晴朝公御由緒モ有之故 秀康公越
前エ被為入候節御供仕候 晴朝公ヨリ被下置候御書弐
通于今所持仕候上野介嫡子右馬介儀 忠直公御廃徒之
後 高田姫君様越後エ御移之時分御供仕罷越候ニ付女
子二人有之候ヲ一人ハ尾州様御家中岩田長右衛門ト申
者ノ方エ嫁シ今一人ハ当与左衛門義連父川崎次郎左衛
門義次妻ニ罷成候依之妹尾ノ名字断絶ニ及候間子共ノ
内一人名字相続為仕度之旨常々相願候ニ付義連幼少之

先祖妹尾上野介は代々北条家に仕えていたとのことで、今でもその証文等を所持している。その後結城晴朝公との御由緒もあったため、秀康公が越前に入られる際にはお供をした。晴朝公より下された御書二通を今でも所持している。上野介の嫡子右馬介は、忠直公が廃されて後、高田姫君様が越後へ移られる時分にお供をして越後に参ったところ、女子二人があった。一人は尾州様の御家中岩田長右衛門という者の方へ嫁ぎ、もう一人は当与左衛門義連の父川崎次郎左衛門義次の妻となった。これにより妹尾の名字が断絶となったが、子供のうち一人に名字を相続させたいとの旨を常々願い出ていたところ、義連が幼少の時から外祖父の養子分となっていた。綱昌公の御代に召し出されるにあたって、その節から妹尾源五郎と名乗って出仕した。妹尾の

Current Seno Yozaemon Yoshitsura (original domain: Shimōsa, birth domain: Echizen, family name: Ōe, father: Kawasaki Jirōzaemon Yoshitsugu)
His ancestor Seno Kōzuke-no-suke served the Hōjō family for generations, and to this day [the family] possesses documentary proof of this. Later, due to connections with Lord Yūki Harutomo, when Lord Hideyasu entered Echizen, [Seno Kōzuke-no-suke] accompanied him. Two letters bestowed by Lord Harutomo are still in possession today. Kōzuke-no-suke's eldest son Umanosuke, after Lord Tadanao was deposed, accompanied Princess Takada when she moved to Echigo, and there had two daughters. One daughter married into the household of one Iwata Chōemon of the Owari domain retainers, and the other became the wife of Kawasaki Jirōzaemon Yoshitsugu, father of the current Yozaemon Yoshitsura. As a result, the Seno family name faced extinction, but there was a constant petition to have one of the children continue the family name. Yoshitsura had been in the position of an adopted child of his maternal grandfather since childhood.
