現代語訳
引き渡しの際、伊豆守が諸士を雇用することになり、藤兵衛は総頭となって人数を率いて参上し、御城の引き渡しを行った。その折、大和守様より御礼の御書を下賜され、今でも所持している。その子藤兵衛貞政は、孫太郎代の家老役を務めた。定右衛門貞武の父である。

先祖のことについて、往古坂上田村丸の末葉であるとのことで、坂上備後守吉政という者より相続した趣が系図に見える。又兵衛武満の父坂上善右衛門嘉広という者は、松平肥前守殿の方で知行二百五十石を給わり、小姓組で作事方の役を勤めた。曲尺相伝の家である。武満が十八歳の時に喧嘩をしたところ、その首尾がよろしく、肥前守殿が仰せ渡された趣は「若年の身でありながら抜群の働きである。相手もあることではあるが、一命をお助けするので、どこへでも立ち退くように」と仰せ付けられ、父善右衛門へお渡しになった。これにより当国へ参ったところ、本多内蔵助方へ呼び出され、知行百石を宛て行われた。しかし御直参を願い、暇を取って在野にあったところ、綱昌公の御代に召し出された。

At the time of the handover, when Izu-no-kami employed various retainers, Tōbei became the chief commander (sōgashira), led troops, and carried out the castle handover. On that occasion, he received a letter of gratitude from Yamato-no-kami-sama, which is still in possession today. His son Tōbei Sadamasa served as chief retainer (karō) during Magotarō's time. He was the father of Sadaemon Sadatake.

Regarding his ancestors, it is said they were descendants of the ancient Sakanoue no Tamuramaro, and the genealogy shows succession from one called Sakanoue Bingo-no-kami Yoshimasa. Matahei Takemitsu's father, called Sakanoue Zenemon Yoshihiro, received a stipend of 250 koku from Lord Matsudaira Hizen-no-kami and served in construction work (sakuji-kata) in the page group (koshō-gumi). It was a family with hereditary carpenter's square transmission. When Takemitsu was eighteen years old, he got into a fight, but handled it well. Hizen-no-kami declared: "Though you are young, your performance was outstanding. There is an opponent involved, but I will spare your life, so depart to anywhere you wish." This was conveyed to his father Zenemon. Accordingly, when he came to this province, he was summoned by Honda Kuranoske and granted a stipend of 100 koku. However, desiring direct service to the lord, he took leave and remained as a rōnin, until he was summoned in Lord Tsunamasa's era.
