父宇貝八兵衛重政は、忠昌公の御代に召し出され、綱昌公の御代の延宝五丁巳年（1677年）まで勤めた。跡目を嫡子伝之丞に譲り渡された節に、八郎右衛門が召し出された。

Current head: Ugai Hachirōemon Shigeyoshi 《Original province unknown, birthplace: Echizen | Surname unknown》
His father, Ugai Hachihyōe Shigemasa, was summoned to service during Lord Tadamasa's reign and served until the 5th year of Enpō, year of the Fire Snake (1677) during Lord Tsunamasa's reign. When the succession was passed to his heir, his eldest son Dennosuke, Hachirōemon was summoned to service.
