英語訳
Due to certain circumstances, he left the Tōdō house and withdrew to Yamato Province, where Lord Tajima-no-kami Naotomi
summoned him and appointed him to the position of chief retainer. Through this, he became known to the lord's family members as well,
receiving written documents that are preserved to this day. However, when Toyohide was four years old in the spring, his father Kaga-
emon passed away, and although he was granted succession, due to his young age,
his relatives petitioned and received permission to leave service. He was taken in by his uncle Imadate Roku-
emon Masatane, who was in the lord's household, and was raised and educated. After reaching adulthood, he was summoned again. His title was
changed and he became known as Imadate.
△ Matsunami
Summoned in the 3rd year of Keian (1650, Year of the Metal Tiger) during Lord Mitsumichi's reign
●Sakurai Denemon Masayoshi《original province: Mikawa, birthplace: Settsu|family name: Fujiwara, Sakurai title from mother's side, Buddhist name: Jinyū》
His ancestor, six generations from Minister of the Left Kawabe Uona, was General Toshihito's 17th generation descendant Matsunami
Mikawa-no-kami Deshukō, who lived during the reign of Emperor Go-Hanazono and achieved military merit. There is a portrait of Deshukō at
Shōkoku-ji Temple in the capital, and the inscription on that portrait records the aforementioned achievements.
He possesses copies of this and genealogical records. Thereafter, generations ruled parts of Mikawa Province and
served the Imperial Court. Five generations descended from Deshukō, Matsunami Utanokimi Mitsumasa
served Lord Nobunaga. His son, Matsunami Heemon Masaoki《Masayoshi's grandfather》, served Lord Gongen,
and his descendants continue to serve as direct shogunal retainers. Masayoshi's father, Matsunami Denemon
Masatsugu, was the second son of the aforementioned Masaoki. From a young age he was sickly and
received care from his father Masaoki and his uncle Matsunami Go-
rōemon, who was the head administrator of the five provinces around the capital in Settsu Osaka, until he passed away. After that, Masayoshi was summoned.
