先祖横山相模守時季ト申者武蔵国横山ノ城ニ居住仕称
号ヲ横山ト相改候其末横山伊賀守時興ト申者永正之頃
吉良家ノ幕下ニテ土佐国植田ノ城ニ居住仕候由申伝候
其庶流今以松平土佐守殿御家中稲葉丹後守殿御家中ニ
有之候伊賀守嫡子横山伊豆時継ハ長宗我部元親ニ属シ
土佐国釜島ノ城ヲ預リ罷有候由其子横山弥兵衛時武其
庶流藤堂和泉守殿御家中ニ今以有之候弥兵衛嫡子横山
九郎兵衛寛武家督相続仕長宗我部家ニ罷有候処彼家滅
亡之後浪人仕池田輝政エ罷出相勤申候処故有テ彼家ヲ
立退土州ニ蟄居仕相果候其子横山十郎兵衛記慶儀
光通公御代被召出候記慶儀若年ヨリ相撲ヲ好ミ世上名

●横山十郎兵衛記慶《割書：本国武蔵 生国土佐｜姓小野》
先祖横山相模守時季という者は、武蔵国横山の城に居住し、称号を横山と改めた。その末裔である横山伊賀守時興という者は、永正の頃（1504-1521年）に吉良家の幕下として土佐国植田の城に居住していたと申し伝えられている。
その庶流は今でも松平土佐守殿の御家中や稲葉丹後守殿の御家中にいる。伊賀守の嫡子横山伊豆時継は長宗我部元親に属し、土佐国釜島の城を預かっていた。その子横山弥兵衛時武の庶流は藤堂和泉守殿の御家中に今でもいる。弥兵衛の嫡子横山九郎兵衛寛武は家督を相続して長宗我部家にいたが、その家が滅亡した後、浪人となって池田輝政に仕えたが、何らかの事情でその家を立ち退き、土州に蟄居して亡くなった。その子横山十郎兵衛記慶が光通公の御代に召し出された。記慶は若年より相撲を好み、世間で名の

●Yokoyama Jūrobei Norikei《Note: Home province Musashi, birth province Tosa｜Family name Ono》
The ancestor, a man called Yokoyama Sagaminokami Tokisue, resided in Yokoyama Castle in Musashi Province and changed his title to Yokoyama. His descendant, a man called Yokoyama Iganokami Tokioki, resided in Ueta Castle in Tosa Province as a retainer under the Kira family around the Eishō period (1504-1521), according to tradition.
His branch families still exist in the household of Lord Matsudaira Tosakami and in the household of Lord Inaba Tangonokami. Iganokami's eldest son, Yokoyama Izu Tokitsugu, served under Chōsokabe Motochika and was entrusted with Kamashima Castle in Tosa Province. His son Yokoyama Yaheiji Tokitake's branch family still exists in the household of Lord Tōdō Izuminokami. Yaheiji's eldest son, Yokoyama Kurōbei Hirotake, inherited the family headship and served the Chōsokabe family, but after that family's destruction, he became a rōnin and served Ikeda Terumasa. However, due to certain circumstances, he left that household, retired to Tosa Province, and died there. His son, Yokoyama Jūrobei Norikei, was summoned to service during Lord Mitsumichi's reign.
