　　　　義方の祖父田井長門守晴重は先祖より備中国川上郡田井の城主であったが、故あって城を立ち退き、水野宗兵衛尉殿の招きにより客人分として仕えた。その子田井助之丞重家は水野日向守殿のもとで旗奉行役を相勤め、義方もその家で相勤めていたが、彼の家を立ち退いた後、御家（福井藩）に出仕した。

綱昌公の御代、延宝六年戊午年（1678年）に別に召し出された。
吉邦公の御代、享保二年丁酉年（1717年）に家督を下された。

In the reign of Lord Mitsumichi, in the first year of Manji, Tsuchinoe-Inu year (1658),
he was summoned to service.
　●Hayashi Jūbei Yoshikata《Note: Home province Bitchū, Birth province Bingo, Original name Genemon｜Family name unknown, Original surname Tai》
　　　　Yoshikata's grandfather Tai Nagato-no-kami Harushige had been the lord of Tai Castle in Kawakami District, Bitchū Province since ancient times, but due to certain circumstances he abandoned the castle and served as a guest retainer under the invitation of Lord Mizuno Sōhyōe-no-jō. His son Tai Sukenosuke Shigeie served as flag magistrate under Lord Mizuno Hyūga-no-kami, and Yoshikata also served in that household, but after leaving that house, he came to serve our domain (Fukui Domain).

In the reign of Lord Tsunamasa, in the sixth year of Enpō, Tsuchinoe-Uma year (1678), he was separately summoned to service.
In the reign of Lord Yoshikuni, in the second year of Kyōhō, Hinoto-Tori year (1717), he was granted succession.
