先祖朝倉義景ニ相勤候宗敵散敵ト申候而二人法師武者
有之内藤島散敵正永ト申候者ハ勝木五右衛門永義祖父
ニテ候家ノ紋輪実ニテ候処朝倉義景柳ケ瀬陣ノ時戦場
ニテ兵粮ヲツカヒ被申候節箸無之ニ付散敵正永軍扇ニ
箸ヲ戴テ指上候ヲ何ノ木ニテ造リ候ヤト尋被申ニ付勝
木ニテ候ト返答申候ヘハ義景悦喜有之其日ノ軍モ勝利
ノ上散敵儀モ能働仕義景褒美ノ感詞等有之候其節ヨリ
藤島ノ称号ヲ勝木ト相改紋所ヲモ改檜扇子ニ箸ヲ戴候

光通公の御代、万治二年己亥年（1659年）に召し出された
●勝木五右衛門永義《注記：本国不明 生国は越前｜姓不明 本名は藤島》
先祖は朝倉義景に仕えていた。宗敵、散敵という二人の法師武者が
いたうち、藤島散敵正永という者は勝木五右衛門永義の祖父
である。家の紋は輪実であったが、朝倉義景が柳ヶ瀬で陣を張った時、戦場
で兵糧を召し上がろうとした際、箸がなかったので、散敵正永が軍扇に
箸を添えて差し上げたところ、何の木で作ったのかと尋ねられたので、勝
木ですと返答したところ、義景は大変喜ばれ、その日の合戦も勝利
した上、散敵の働きも良く、義景から褒美の感謝の言葉などがあった。その時から
藤島の称号を勝木と改め、紋所も改めて檜扇に箸を添えた
様子を図案化して付けることになったという

●Katsuki Goemon Nagayoshi《Note: Original domain unknown, born in Echizen｜Family name unknown, original name Fujishima》
His ancestors served Asakura Yoshikage. Among two warrior-monks called Shūteki and Santeki,
the one named Fujishima Santeki Masanaga was the grandfather
of Katsuki Goemon Nagayoshi. The family crest was originally a circular design, but when Asakura Yoshikage was encamped
at Yanagase, during a meal on the battlefield
when there were no chopsticks available, Santeki Masanaga presented chopsticks
along with his war fan. When asked what kind of wood they were made from, he
replied that they were made of katsuki wood. Yoshikage was greatly pleased, and that day's battle was also victorious.
Moreover, Santeki performed well, and Yoshikage bestowed words of praise and gratitude. From that time,
the surname Fujishima was changed to Katsuki, and the family crest was also changed
to depict a cypress fan with chopsticks, as it is said
