跡断絶仕候土佐嫡子河野辺宗儀ト申者 大猷院様御代

召し出された
●萩原猪兵衛政高《本国常陸 生国同｜姓は不明》
先祖は河野辺玄蕃、その子河野辺土佐と申す者は常陸国吉丸という
所の郷士であったという。土佐の弟萩原長兵衛と申す者は秀康公の
御代に結城において召し出され、拝知二百石を下されたというが、程なく死去し、その
跡は断絶した。土佐の嫡子河野辺宗儀と申す者は大猷院様御代に
御坊主組頭を相勤め、子孫は今に至るまで存在している。政高は土佐の二男で、
秀康公御代に伯父長兵衛が御家に仕えていた段を申し立て、願い申し上げて
召し出された。

His ancestor was Kawanobe Genba, whose son called Kawanobe Tosa was a
village samurai of a place called Yoshimaru in Hitachi Province. Tosa's younger brother called Hagiwara Chōbei
was summoned at Yūki in Lord Hideyasu's reign and granted a stipend of 200 koku, but
died before long and his line was discontinued. Tosa's eldest son called Kawanobe Sōgi
served as head of the monk attendants' group in Lord Daiyūin's reign, and his descendants
exist to this day. Masataka was Tosa's second son, and
petitioned stating that his uncle Chōbei had served the house in Lord Hideyasu's reign,
and was thus summoned.
