## 上野国(こうずけのくに)
**群馬郡(マ)伊香保(いかほ)** 高崎より六里。温度百〇四度より百十三度に至る。海面より高きこと凡そ三十尺。この泉の主成分は硫酸ソーダ・食塩にして、解凝・下泄の能力あるをもって左の諸病に効あり。
・胃弱(胃の弱き者)・白帯下(こしけ)
右の病者は内服して効を得べし。ただし服量は毎回一盞より三盞に至るべし。
・経久悪性リウマチス・リウマチス性関節痛・腰痛・神経痛・鉱毒より来る所の麻痺(しびれ)・皮膚病すなわち麻疹(はしか)・疱瘡(ほうそう)より発する所の頑癬
右の病者は外用して効を得べし。

## Kōzuke Province (上野国)
**Gunma District (Surveyed) Ikaho (伊香保)** Six *ri* from Takasaki. Temperature ranging from 104 to 113 degrees. Elevation approximately 30 *shaku* above sea level. The principal constituents of this spring are sodium sulfate (*sōda*) and common salt, and by virtue of their dispersing and purgative properties, the spring is effective for the following conditions:
· Stomach weakness; leucorrhea (*koshike*)
Patients with the above conditions should take this water internally for effect. Dosage should be from one to three cups per session.
· Chronic severe rheumatism; rheumatic joint pain; lower back pain; neuralgia; paralysis (numbness) arising from mineral poisoning; skin diseases, namely stubborn eczema arising from measles or smallpox
Patients with the above conditions should use this water externally for effect.
· Anemia; uterine dysfunction, namely menstrual irregularity, and related conditions
Patients with the above conditions should use this water both internally and externally. Dosage same as above.
