**Kubiki District — (Local) Sekiyama** Located three *ri* to the west of Sekiyama Village. Divided into four sections. ○ Sōyu (*General Bath*): spring quality contains both sulfurous and aluminous elements; taste is bitter and salty. Recommended for spleen/stomach deficiency and accumulation/colic. ○ Wakiyu (*Boiling Bath*): spring quality and therapeutic effects same as above. ○ Kawarayu (*Riverbed Bath*): spring quality same as above. Recommended for sword cuts, burns, various sores, and all types of hemorrhoids. ○ Wata-no-Yu (*Cotton Bath*): spring quality same as above. Recommended for stroke and circulatory stagnation.
**Same (Local) Matsunoyama** Located in Yumoto Village. Spring quality contains sulfur and saline elements; saline properties are particularly abundant. Recommended for hemorrhoids, accumulation/colic, and scabies. ○ (Ra, Type 1) Temperature: 163 degrees. Spring quality contains sulfur and iron; taste is acidic and astringent. It likely also contains green vitriol (*ferrous sulfate*). Furthermore, there is an intense odor of hydrogen sulfide and white precipitate. The spring water flows from alluvial soil (*alluvium*), and its output is approximately 2 *to* 5 *shō* per minute. (Type 2) Temperature: 156 degrees. There is a red precipitate. However, since the spring water turns silver black, it must contain sulfurous vapor. All other characteristics are the same as Type 1.
