## The Kinai Region (Five Home Provinces)
**Yamashiro Province** — Soraku District (Lower District) — Dōsenbō
[A cold spring containing a large quantity of free carbonic acid. Although drinking it mildly stimulates the mouth and stomach, it has a pleasant taste and is well known for refreshing the spirit. It is therefore commonly bottled in flasks (tokkuri) and sold throughout various locations.]
**Yamato Province** — Yoshino District (see map) — Tōsenji-yu (Tōsenji Hot Spring)
[Located in Musashi Village. The spring water contains hydrogen sulfide, sulfuric acid, and other minerals, and is recommended for hernia-type abdominal pain (senki), urinary ailments (rinshitsu), skin sores/syphilitic lesions (sōdoku), bruises (uchimi), and sword/blade wounds (kirikizu).]
