日は松（まつ）桑 楢（なら）なとを火にたき暖にすへし又

現代語訳
【右丁】
日は松・桑・楢などを火に焚き暖めるべきである。また
炭をよく起こし火鉢へ埋み火にして蚕
室へ置くのもよい。
蚕種取り方
一 繭の選択が第一である。その選び方は盛んに明るく
なった時の笊より取るべきである。少し長めにて
くびれの浅きしまりのよきものを揃えて筵田へ

並べ置き七八日目によもぎ紙蓋の葉を
かけ置くべきである。十二日目には蛾が出る。蛾が
生じて羽の縮んだものあるいは背に毛のないもの
などを除き風儀のよいものを用いるべきである。
ただし雌蛾多く雄蛾少ないものである。雄
蛾は二回目の飼育より取って足すべきである。
一 蛾を朝四時筵田の内より拾い取り紙へ

However, there are many female moths and few male moths. Male
moths should be taken from the second rearing to supplement.
