ますます珍しく、ますます化け、ますます奇妙になる。変化させてはまた変化させ、化かしてはまた化かすということであろうか、そうでなかろうか。変化は結局窮まることがない。書物が完成して弘がその序文を私に求めたので、戯れに一首を題して言った。「淮南の遺された教えで百珍が完成し、飽食の富翁も清浄な腹を生む。皆これ淡泊でありながら道の味わいに堪え、腐儒も甘んじて一斉の名を得る」

Change ultimately knows no bounds. When the book was completed and Ko asked me for a preface, I playfully composed a verse: "The legacy of Huainan brings forth a hundred delicacies complete; even the well-fed wealthy gain pure bellies.
