いとなみをなす者は富貴繁昌にして唯一
のかみは甚た衰へ威光もなし是と申も各
其つかさ取所の守護を失ひ職分を守
すして産子（ウブコ）ヲ害する神々多し各其非
分非礼を改て諸（モロ）々の罪咎祟り天つみ国
つみこゝたくの罪をのり分てはらへ給へ
清め給へとのべ給へは戸隠の神宣ふよふ
主￣ジの神の仰の如く各皆其司る所を不守
職分に相違する事多けれ共我々立科
金峯山は主じの神と心を合セ天が下の御宝￣ヲ
守り耕しを守護すれは夫に続て村々の
産神（ウフスナ）氏神 祠（ホコラ）等に至迄皆｜心（ナカゴ）ヲ一ツにして

重ねて申されたことには、「天照大御神が天下をお治めになり始めてから、今の天明元年（1781年）まで、およそ三百十八万八百四十七年を経て、神の徳も甚だ衰え、たまたま異端の仏の力を借りて営みをなす者は富み栄え繁盛して、唯一の神道の神は甚だ衰え威光もない。これというのも、各々がそれぞれ司るべき所の守護を失い、職分を守らずして産子（氏子）を害する神々が多いからである。各々その非分・非礼を改めて、諸々の罪科・祟り・天つ罪・国つ罪、数多くの罪をのり分けて、祓え給え、清め給え」と述べ給えば、

He continued his proclamation: "From the time Amaterasu Ōmikami first began to rule the land below heaven until this year, Tenmei 1 (1781), approximately three million, one hundred and eighty thousand, eight hundred and forty-seven years have passed. The divine virtue has greatly declined, and those who happen to borrow the power of the heterodox Buddhist forces thrive and prosper, while the deities of the one true Shinto faith have greatly weakened and lost their authority. The reason for this is that many deities have lost guardianship over their respective domains, failing to fulfill their duties and thereby causing harm to their parishioners. Let each of you reform your transgressions and improprieties, and let the various sins, curses, heavenly offenses, earthly offenses, and the multitude of transgressions be divided up and purified — purify them, cleanse them."
Upon hearing this, the deity of Togakushi spoke: "As the chief deity has commanded, it is true that each of us has failed to govern our respective domains and there are many instances where we have fallen short of our duties.
