薄雲、横雲の両将軍を失い、いよいよ怒りが収まることなく、近日中に必ず敵を討ち果たすべきであると決意して、既に諸方へ加勢を求めた。まず三国一の神へ救いを求め、鬼神たちならびに大島十郎、八丈島の一角坊、笠ヶ島の刺鳥坊、そして東海の内に住む鬼神たち、都合十万八千余りの強者たちが集まった。海運潮水の兜、直垂、砂石貝殻の甲冑を身に着け、大船数隻の旗を立て、ならびに運送自在の駒に打ち乗り、夜を日に継いで空を飛び、大地を駆け抜けて駆け集まってきた。北国においては、越中国立山三郎、加賀国白山四郎、佐渡国金子の一郎、出羽国黒丸、越後国縮みの安高等を始めとして、都合その勢力二十万七千余騎。籾殻の実のような良い鎧を二領重ねてしっかりと着込み、雑穀を積み重ねたような兜を幾重にも身に着け、諸方の蔵々に入れ置いた重代の名作、釈迦身の国五両入用、また

Having lost both generals Usugumo and Yokogumo, Mount Asama's fury knew no bounds, and it resolved to utterly destroy its enemies in the coming days. It had already requested reinforcements from various quarters. First, it sought salvation from the greatest god of the three provinces, and demons including Ōshima Jūrō, Hachijōjima's Ikkakubō, Kasagashima's Saitoribō, and all the demons dwelling within the Eastern Sea - altogether more than 108,000 fierce warriors - gathered together. They donned helmets of sea transport and tidal waters, hitatare court dress, and armor made of sand, stones, and shells.
