縦二十里、横七八里の間一面となって押し下した。これによって関東勢はみな殺しになって、社も雲も残らず没却させられて、浅間勢は思いのままに打ち勝ち、年来の恨みを晴らした。しかし浅間の焼けはいまだ止まず、八ツが嶽には浅間の妹がおられたが、気の毒に思われ、八日九ツ時に八人の子供を引き連れて浅間へ行き、取り合えず
「浅間山、なぜそのようにお焼きなさるのですか」（割書：とあったところ、すぐに脇をつけられた）
「硫黄が胸に迫りて」（割書：とせられけり）
そうしたところ、この災害の知らせが大内まで聞こえたので、帝も天子の御歌をお作りになって勅使をお遣わしになった
