静かにぞ成にける榛名山は雷電風雨を
起し防き厳しかりしゆへ悪鬼共も近寄兼
砂石もふる事勿りしと云南牧西牧も砂石
一切ふらずと餘多のつとのうそのつとの事を
のべ侍る因茲神々の憤り強く寒暖度（カンダンド）を
節季｜序（ツイデ）を違（タガ）ひ耕作｜登（ミノ）らず大ききんと成
百姓騒動と成べき端（ハシ）ぞなれける痛ましき
世の有様ヲ見る物かな
信州上野両国饑饉の事
偖も浅間白子万沢等の謀略にて上野一国
大半没却の底にて作物は云に不及田ばた
家居まても石砂に埋（ウヅメ）られ四壁の竹木
まても枯果て払ひはてたるうわの空別而
吾妻郡馬両郡は七十餘ケ所村々滅亡して
人馬死する者幾千人と云其数をしらす

静かになったのである。榛名山は雷電風雨を起こして防ぎ、厳しかったので、悪鬼どもも近寄りかね、砂石も降ることがなかったという。南牧、西牧も砂石は一切降らなかったという。多くの嘘偽りのことを述べている。
このため神々の怒りは強く、寒暖の度合いが季節の順序を違え、耕作は実らず、大飢饉となった。百姓騒動となるきっかけであった。痛ましい世の有様を見ることよ。
信州・上野両国飢饉のこと
さて、浅間、白子、万沢等の謀略によって、上野国の大半は没却の底となり、作物は言うに及ばず、田畑や家屋までも石砂に埋められ、四方の竹木までも枯れ果てて払い果てた空虚な状態となった。特に吾妻郡、馬庭郡は七十余箇所の村々が滅亡し、人馬の死する者は幾千人というが、その数を知らない。

Mount Haruna generated thunder, lightning, wind, and rain to defend itself, and because it was so severe, even evil spirits could not approach, and sand and stones did not fall there. Now, due to the schemes of Asama, Shirako, Mannazawa and others, most of Kōzuke Province became buried in destruction. Even the bamboo and trees in all four directions withered and were completely swept away, leaving empty desolation. Particularly in Agatsuma and Baba districts, over seventy villages were destroyed, and though it is said that thousands of people and horses died, the exact number is unknown.
