案内す奥に入暫有て年十四五のみや
びやか成児弐人白銀の茶碗とこがねの茶
瓶に匂能薄茶を入て持来りねん頃に
饗応其後夕｜餐（カテ）の膳部うるはしく種々
の珍味をふるまひける御殿の方見渡せば
珍客有と覚布て燈火を付並べさも
賑布其躰之暫有て先に伴ひ来りし宮【布→しく】
津子出来り我主君旅僧に對面し四方
山物語して聞まほしと宣ふ迚則誘ふて
大ひろ間へ出向ふ遙かに見渡せば窈宨（ヨウテウ）￣ト
して奥深く銀燭清煙￣ンを吐￣キ千畳坐布共
おほしくて数多の官人種々の元くわんにて
巍（ギ）之堂々として並居給ふ能く見れば鼻
の長き人も有觜（クチバシ）のとがれる人も有｜翼（ツバサ）の
有人もあり龍の頭の人も有主じの神と
おぼしくて黒き将束に金竜の冠を着し
現代語訳
案内されて奥に入ると、しばらくして年齢十四、五歳の優雅な童子二人が、白銀の茶碗と黄金の茶瓶に香り高い薄茶を入れて持ってきて、ねんごろにもてなしてくれた。その後、夕食の膳が美しく整えられ、種々の珍味がふるまわれた。御殿の方を見渡せば、珍しい客があると知れ渡っているようで、燈火を次々と灯し並べて、いかにも賑やかな様子であった。
しばらくして、先に連れてきた宮司が出てきて、「我が主君が旅の僧とお会いして、あれこれと話を聞きたいとおっしゃっています」と告げ、則ち大広間へと誘って向かった。遥かに見渡せば、奥深く幽玄な趣があり、銀の燭台が清らかな煙を吐き出し、千畳敷きとも思われるほどの広さで、数多くの官人たちが様々な位階の装いをして、威厳堂々と並んで座っておられた。
よく見ると、鼻の長い人もいれば、嘴のとがった人もおり、翼のある人もおり、龍の頭をした人もいた。主の神と思われる者は、黒い束帯に金竜の冠を着し、

After being shown inside, after a short while, two elegant children of about fourteen or fifteen years of age came carrying fragrant thin tea in silver bowls and golden tea kettles, and entertained him most attentively. Afterward, the dinner trays were beautifully arranged and various delicacies were served. Looking around the palace, it seemed that word had spread that a rare guest had arrived, and lanterns were lit and arranged in rows, creating quite a lively atmosphere.
After a time, the shrine priest who had led him there earlier appeared and announced, "My lord wishes to meet with the traveling monk and desires to hear all manner of stories," and immediately led him to a great hall. Looking far into the distance, it was profoundly deep and mysterious, with silver candlesticks exhaling clear wisps of smoke. The space appeared to be the size of a thousand tatami mats, and numerous officials, dressed in various court ranks, sat arrayed in solemn and majestic fashion.
Looking carefully, there were those with long noses, those with pointed beaks, those with wings, and those with the heads of dragons. The one who appeared to be the presiding deity was dressed in a black formal court robe (sokutai) with a golden dragon crown,
