一 筆（ふで）とりむかひひらくつれ〳〵草（くさ）に
女（をんな）の性（しやう）は皆（みな）ひがめり人我（にんが）の相（さう）ふかく貪欲（とんよく）
甚（はなはだ）しく物（もの）の理（り）をしらず直（すなほ）ならずして拙（つたなき）
ものは女（をんな）なりと兼好法師（けんこうほうし）もかゝれ申候又 唐（もろこし）
には金玉（きんぎよく）を宝（たから）とせず善（せん）をもつて宝（たから）とす

筆を取り向かい開く徒然草に、「女の性はみな偏っており、人我の相が深く、貪欲が甚だしく、物の理を知らず、素直でなくて愚かなものは女である」と兼好法師も書いておられます。また中国では「金玉を宝とせず、善をもって宝とす」と大学にも記されているとのことです。今この五冊の草子に女の善を述べ表して、かの偏見を
