現代語訳
（前頁より続く）懸り合いの御用向きに精を出して仕えたため、御世話も少なく御助けになり、甚だ御大慶あそばされた旨、御意を蒙った。
一 同年（文政六年）十月、御近習番頭取を仰せ付けられ、席は金山奉行格に取り立てられた。懸り御用はこれまでどおり勤め、おおよその御用向きの御取次を行い、諸達の儀については御家老中へ直達致すべしとのこと。もっとも、下賜物についてはこれまでどおりとする旨、仰せ出された。
一 同月、御用を仰せ付けられ、江戸表へ罷り登った。
一 同年（文政六年）十一月、御船奉行を兼務するよう仰せ付けられ、水主（かこ）の者の支配を致すべき旨、仰せ出された。
一 同年十二月、精を出して相勤めたことにより、常上下を仰せ付けられ、席は樋口勘次の次に取り立てられた。
一 同七寅年（文政七年・1824年）正月、五ノ丁道筋の御普請の節、精を出して相勤め、良く出来たとのことにより、御褒美として綿一把を下し置かれた。

(Continued from previous page) ...he had applied himself diligently to all matters related to his assigned duties, requiring little guidance and proving of great assistance; accordingly, it was declared that this was a source of considerable satisfaction, and he received a personal commendation to that effect.
Item: In the tenth month of the same year (Bunsei 6, 1823), he was appointed as Gokinjū Bantōdori (Head of the Close-Attendance Guard), and his rank was raised to the equivalent of Kinzan Bugyō (Gold Mine Magistrate). He was to continue performing his assigned duties as before, to serve as intermediary for general business matters, and to report all official communications (shōtatsu) directly to the Senior Elders (o-karō-chū). Furthermore, it was declared that his stipend and allowances would remain as previously established.
Item: In the same month, he was assigned an official duty and departed for Edo.
Item: In the eleventh month of the same year (Bunsei 6, 1823), he was additionally appointed as Ofune Bugyō (Ship Magistrate) and was declared to be responsible for the supervision of the sailors (kako).
Item: In the twelfth month of the same year, in recognition of his diligent service, he was granted the right to wear the formal kamishimo on all regular occasions, and his rank was placed immediately after that of Higuchi Kanjи.
Item: In the first month of the seventh year of Bunsei, the Year of the Tiger (Bunsei 7, 1824), in recognition of his diligent work and the successful completion of the road construction project at Go-no-chō, he was awarded one bundle of cotton wadding (wata) as a reward.
