Item: In the same month, upon being appointed as her personal attendant (o-tsuke) on this occasion, he was granted, in the presence of Lady Shundōin, one of her personally worn old kosode (short-sleeved robes).
Item: In the sixth month of the first year of Kansei, the Year of the Rooster (Kansei 1, 1789), as he had taken great pains and served diligently in various matters, he was privately and discreetly granted one tan (bolt) of crepe silk (chirimen) from Lady Shundōin.
Item: In the tenth month of the sixth year of the same era, the Year of the Tiger (Kansei 6, 1794), as Lady Shundōin had been unwell for some time and he had exerted himself in various ways on her behalf, he was granted one tan of crepe silk from Lady Shundōin herself.
