出向いたところ、大目付前田安芸守直勝殿、町奉行川口摂津守重嫌殿、能勢出雲守頼相殿、その他安藤与十郎信岑殿、松野八郎兵衛助義殿が列座し、お尋ねの件は「木村左五太夫という者が今もって出頭しない。これについて、御家来の岡部半兵衛元成は小舅の関係にあるので、左五太夫が彼の方へ頼ってくることもあろう。半兵衛に探し出すよう申し付けるべき」旨を安芸守殿が申し渡された。
一、同日、御書を以って例の通り御国産の初鱈を献上した。

一、同月九日、丸岡城を有馬左衛門佐清純殿へ御拝領により御引き渡しが済み、御在番の分部隼人正信政殿、御目付成瀬瀧右衛門殿、渡辺弥之助殿がかの地を発足し御城下通行のため、大橋詰へ御家老狛杢允貞澄、御使者堀又右衛門元隣を差し出した。

When [the retainer] went there, the ōmetsuke Maeda Aki-no-kami Naokatsu, the machi-bugyō Kawaguchi Settsu-no-kami Shigekira, Nose Izumo-no-kami Yorisuke, and others including Andō Yojūrō Nobumune and Matsuno Hachirōbei Sukeyoshi were seated in attendance. Regarding the inquiry, Aki-no-kami declared that "the person called Kimura Sagotayū has still not appeared. Regarding this matter, since your retainer Okabe Hanbei Motonari is his brother-in-law, Sagotayū might well turn to him for help. You should order Hanbei to search him out."

On the 1st day of the 8th month, for celebratory purposes, a ceremonial sword and horse substitute were presented through a messenger as usual.
On the 6th day of the same month, pears from the trees within the mansion grounds were presented to Keishōin-sama from private quarters, submitted through the messenger retainer Matsubara Zenzaemon Norinari to Honjō Inaba-no-kami Munesuke.
On the 9th day of the same month, the transfer of Maruoka Castle to Arima Saemon-no-suke Kiyozumi was completed as a grant. When the resident administrator Wakebe Hayato-no-shō Nobumasa, inspector Naruse Takiemon, and Watanabe Yanosuke departed from that place and passed through the castle town, the chief retainer Koma Mokunosuke Sadazumi and messenger Hori Mataemon Motochika were sent to the Ōhashi checkpoint.
