一、八月二十一日、月次の御機嫌伺いの御使者簗田勘太夫為長が昨日二十日に江戸に到着した（去る九日に御国表を出立）。今日、御老中土屋相模守政直殿のもとへ出向き（御留守居三沢甚右衛門が同道）、御書を差し出した。
ただし同月二十三日に御返書の御渡しがあった。
一、同月二十二日、右同様に御使者簗田勘太夫為長が御城へ出向き（御留守居松原善左衛門が同道）、御献上の御肴（鮮干鯛）を納めた。
一、九月朔日
監物様が御登城の節、先だって仰せ出された御尋ね者の木村佐左五太夫の在所が判明したため、御家来岡部半兵衛元成に御預けになっていた。彼の妻子については御構いはないので、勝手次第にどこへでも遣わして構わない旨を、美作守直■様まで大目付前田安芸守直勝殿が申し聞かされた旨を、美作守様よりお達しがあった。
一、同月五日、南条郡川内村・中村の二ヶ所へ、同郡奥野々村にあるのと文言の通りの制札を建てるよう、郡奉行坂田右近右衛門永春へ月番御家老松平庄兵衛正恒が申し渡した。

一、手判なくして他国へ女を返してはならないこと

On the 21st day of the 8th month, the monthly courtesy inquiry messenger Yanada Kantayū Tamenaga arrived in Edo yesterday on the 20th (having departed from the domain on the 9th). Today he went to the rōjū Tsuchiya Sagami-no-kami Masanao (accompanied by the rusui Misawa Jinemon) and submitted a letter.
However, a reply letter was delivered on the 23rd of the same month.
On the 22nd day of the same month, similarly, the messenger Yanada Kantayū Tamenaga went to the castle (accompanied by the rusui Matsubara Zenzaemon) and presented the offering of fish (fresh dried sea bream).
On the 1st day of the 9th month
When Kenmotsu-sama attended the castle, regarding the wanted person Kimura Sagotayū whose whereabouts had been determined as previously ordered, he had been placed in the custody of retainer Okabe Hanbei Motonari. As for that person's wife and children, since there are no restrictions on them, they may be sent anywhere at will. The ōmetsuke Maeda Aki-no-kami Naokatsu conveyed this to Mimasaku-no-kami Nao[?]-sama, and Mimasaku-no-kami-sama issued this directive.
On the 5th day of the same month, orders were given to erect notice boards with the same text as those in Okunono village of the same district at two locations in Nanjō District: Kawauchi village and Nakamura village. The monthly duty chief retainer Matsudaira Shōbei Masatsune conveyed this to the district magistrate Sakata Ukon Uemon Nagaharu.
