置いている件である。また盗賊等が公領他領へ逃走した場合も、押しかけて押し留めて、その旨を申し伝える件である。捨子・捨馬等があった場合、捨てた主人が分かれば、互いに知らせ合うべき旨を話したところ、下代共が承知した旨を申し聞かせたと、月番御家老へ新右衛門が伝達した。
一 六月九日 端午の御祝儀御献上により、御内書が御城において御渡しがあり、御家来への拝領物等は例の通りであった。

監物様とご同道で御側御用人へ出向き、御講談拝聴の御願いを申し入れた。
一 同月二十二日 大地震により御機嫌伺いのため、御用番大久保加賀守忠朝殿へ使者として御留守居松原善左衛門矩成を派遣した。
桂昌院様へも御機嫌伺いのため本庄因幡守宗資殿へ使者を派遣した。
一 同月二十六日 暑中につき使者を以て例の通り御国産の素麺・干鯛を献上した。

These are the established procedures. Also, when thieves and criminals flee to public domains or other territories, [our officials] shall pursue and detain them, and report the matter accordingly. Regarding abandoned children and horses, if the person who abandoned them becomes known, both parties should inform each other - when this was explained, the deputy officials indicated their understanding, which Shinuemon reported to the monthly duty senior retainer.
One: June 9th - Regarding the献上 of Boys' Day congratulatory gifts, an official letter was handed over at the castle, and the bestowed items for retainers were as usual.

Together with Kenmotsu-sama, [the lord] visited the Personal Attendants and requested permission to attend a lecture.
One: The 22nd of the same month - Due to a great earthquake, to inquire about [the shogun's] well-being, envoy Resident Caretaker Matsubara Zenzaemon Norishige was sent to Duty Officer Okubo Kaga-no-kami Tadatomo.
To inquire about Keishoin-sama's well-being as well, an envoy was sent to Honjo Inaba-no-kami Munesuke.
