(前頁より続き)札所に対して世間に強引なふるまいをする者があれば、急度御咎を仰せ付けられるべき候間、その所の組頭・庄屋共へ油断なく、末々に至るまで堅く相守るよう、常々申し付けるべき事。 一、八月八日   公方様、右大臣へ御転任。   大納言様、右大将を御兼任につき、御登城(御束帯)。 一、同月十二日   竹千代様、大納言へ御拝任。 一、同月二十八日、今般、公方様御転任・大納言様御兼任・竹千代様御元服のため御祝儀として、御老中を御招請なされるよう、御用番・松平左近将監(乗邑)殿より申し聞けられた。御日限の儀は、追って御伺いなされるよう御指図あり。 一、九月七日、御用番・松平伊豆守殿より御呼び出しがあり、御留守居が罷り出でたところ、御老中御招請の御日限は十一月朔日、御同列の方々もお越しになるべき旨、御書付をもって(仰せ聞けられた)。

(Continued from the previous page) ...should there be any persons who conduct themselves in an overbearing manner toward the note exchange office, they shall be subject to strict punishment. Therefore, the group leaders (kumigashira) and village headmen (shōya) of each locality shall at all times instruct everyone, down to the lowest ranks, to observe these rules diligently without fail. Item: 8th day of the 8th month.   His Excellency the Shōgun [Tokugawa Ieshige] was transferred to the position of Minister of the Right (Udaijin).   The Great Counselor [Tokugawa Ieharu, the heir apparent] was concurrently appointed as General of the Right (Ushōshō); accordingly, [the lord] proceeded to Edo Castle in formal court dress (sōkutai). Item: 12th day of the same month.   Lord Takechiyo [the young heir] was formally appointed as Great Counselor (Dainagon). Item: 28th day of the same month. On the occasion of the Shōgun's transfer of office, the Great Counselor's concurrent appointment, and Lord Takechiyo's coming-of-age ceremony (genpuku), the Duty Senior Councillor (goyōban), Lord Matsudaira Sakon-no-shōgen [Norisato], conveyed instructions that an invitation should be extended to the Senior Councillors (rōjū) for a congratulatory reception. Regarding the date, instructions were given to make further inquiry at a later time. Item: 7th day of the 9th month. A summons was received from the Duty Senior Councillor Lord Matsudaira Izu-no-kami, and the domain's Edo Keeper (rusuii) duly attended. Via written notice, it was conveyed that the date for the reception of the Senior Councillors would be the 1st day of the 11th month, and that the lord's peers (dōretsu) would also be attending.
