一、五月二十八日 御用番・松平左近将監（乗邑）殿より御呼び出しがあり、御留守居・浅井源左衛門（政之）が罷り出たところ、大谷助六（政為）の乗物御免の儀、願いの通り仰せ出された旨、以下の通り御書付をもって申し聞かされた。

右の乗物行（乗物使用）については、願いの通り許可する。誓紙を別途、御目付・青山斎宮の宅において見届けること。
一、同日 御家老・本多縫殿（成広）が病身につき、御懇意をもって御家老職を御免じ隠居を仰せ付けられた。
一、六月一日 御帰国御礼の御使者・本多左門が御城へ罷り出て、御献上物を納めた。月次御礼の後、御白書院において公方様より御引見（御目見）を仰せ付けられ、再び罷り出て自ら御礼を申し上げ、御太刀・馬代を献上した。それより西丸へ罷り出て、檜之間において御献上物ならびに自ら献上の御太刀・馬代を差し上げた。御奏者番・松平右近将監（武元）殿が出座し、御目付・田辺百助殿が待座して相済み、右の御礼として御老中・若年寄中を廻勤した。
一、同月二日 御家老・大谷助六（政為）が御目付・青山斎宮殿の宅へ罷り出て（以下次ページへ続く）。

To Lord Matsudaira Sakon-no-Shōgen
Item: On the 28th day of the 5th month, summoned by the duty senior councilor (goyōban) Lord Matsudaira Sakon-no-Shōgen (Norimura), the domain's Edo representative (osursuiい, Asai Genzaemon (Masayuki), appeared before him, and was informed via a written notice that the request regarding permission for Ōtani Sukeroku (Masatame) to use a palanquin had been granted, as follows:

Regarding the above-named's use of a palanquin: permission is granted as requested. A written oath (seishi) is to be separately witnessed at the residence of Inspector (metsuke) Aoyama Itsuki.
Item: On the same day, senior retainer (karō) Honda Nuido (Narishige), due to ill health, was graciously relieved of his duties as senior retainer and granted permission to retire (inkyo).
Item: On the 1st day of the 6th month, Honda Saemon, the messenger dispatched to offer thanks for His Lordship's return to the domain, proceeded to Edo Castle and presented the tribute offerings. Following the monthly audience ceremony (tsukigime gorei), he was granted an audience with the Shogun at the Shiro-shoin (White Study). He appeared again to offer his personal thanks and presented a ceremonial sword and a sum in lieu of a horse. He then proceeded to the Nishi-no-Maru (West Citadel), where at the Hinoki-no-Ma (Cypress Chamber) he presented the tribute offerings along with his personal gift of a ceremonial sword and a sum in lieu of a horse. The Sōjaban (Master of Ceremonies) Lord Matsudaira Ukon-no-Shōgen (Takemoto) was present, and the Inspector (metsuke) Tanabe Hyakusuke was in attendance; once the proceedings were concluded, he made the rounds to pay his respects to the Senior Councilors (rōjū) and Junior Councilors (wakadoshiyori).
