【右丁】
　　の件については同人の方で上納いたします取り決めでございます。ところが同年冬に御運上を納めることができない事情により、やむを得ず私が立て替えておきましたが、今もって返済もいたしませんので御上納もできかねます。もしこのような状況が続くようでしたら、今後は水車業を止めるよう申し入れましたが、なおまた去冬も私の方へ役所から申し参りましたが、同村から当人が願い出た件につき、生業の件については私が関与する件ではないと存じます。
　　右の趣旨を恐れながらご理解いただき、前文で申し上げました通りにお取り計らいいただけましたら、ありがたい次第と存じます。なおまたお尋ねの件については口頭で申し上げたく存じます。以上

　　Regarding this matter, it was agreed that he would make the payment on his side. However, when he was unable to pay the운상 (water wheel tax) in the winter of that year, I had no choice but to advance the payment, but as he has still not repaid me, I cannot make the payment to the authorities. If this situation continues, I told him to stop the water wheel business, but again last winter the officials came to me, though since the person in question petitioned from the same village, I believe that his livelihood is not my responsibility.
　　I humbly request that you understand this situation and handle the matter as stated in the previous text, which would be most grateful. Furthermore, regarding any inquiries, I would like to respond orally. That is all.
