【巻上四十五丁裏】
法ににんしん弐百五拾きんみきにをきて
一人のもとかね六十四貫八百目をひたりに
をきてこれを右の弐百五拾斤にかくれは
一六二となる是を三人の本銀の高百六拾貫目
にて一六二をわれは人参百一斤二五となる也
二五といふ事しれ不申候とき一斤のおもり
百六拾目ありこれを二五はかりにかくれは

【巻上四十五丁裏】
計算法：人参250斤を右に置き、一人の元金64貫800匁を左に置いて、これを右の250斤に掛けると、162（＝1,6200となる。これを3人の元銀の合計160貫目で割ると、人参101斤2.5（となる。
「2.5」の意味が分からないときは、1斤の重さが160匁であるから、これを2.5分掛けると、101斤40匁となる。また、1両というのは4匁ずつである。40匁を4匁で割ると、101斤10両となる。これが一人前の人参の分量と知るべし。

**Method:** Place 250 kin of ginseng on the right, and place one person's contributed capital of 64 kan 800 momme on the left. Multiply this by the 250 kin on the right, and you get 162 [i.e., 16,200]. Divide this 162 [16,200] by the total capital of the three partners, 160 kan, and you get 101 kin 2.5 [i.e., a remainder of 0.25 kin].
When you do not understand what "2.5" means: since 1 kin weighs 160 momme, multiply this by 2.5, and it becomes 101 kin 40 momme. Furthermore, since 1 ryō equals 4 momme, divide 40 momme by 4 momme, and it becomes 101 kin 10 ryō. Know that this is one person's share of ginseng.

○ The ginseng shares of the remaining two persons can likewise be found using the same method described above.
