Next, the winter sacred garments (kamufuku) are presented as offerings, and the summer sacred garments are replaced with them (this rite is no longer performed; it follows the protocol of a minor festival).
Next, the sacred sakaki branches and hikage (clubmoss) and the like are conveyed forward (this rite follows the same procedure as with the hollyhock and katsura offerings; however, in years when the extraordinary festival [rinji-sai] is performed by order of the Imperial Court, these are presented as offerings on this day.
In years when it is performed by order of the shrine family [shake],
they are presented on the day of the extraordinary festival).
Next, the shrine officials withdraw in order from the most junior in rank, returning to their seats in the corridor (as in the extraordinary festival).
However, the Kannagi, Negi, Hafuri, and others take their seats in the Norito-ya (prayer hall).
Next, the Azukari-dayū hands the sacred key of the auxiliary sanctuary (gonden) to the Gon-hafuri (however, on this occasion, he proceeds from the direction of the Naorai-dokoro [post-ritual dining hall], passing behind the seat of the Norito-ya, and makes his way to the corridor of the Hafuri-kata, where he hands it to the Gon-hafuri).
Next, the Gon-hafuri rises from his seat, proceeds to and ascends the Great Dais, and opens the sacred door (as in the extraordinary festival).
