【右丁】 次に両官が祝詞を申す(片岡の土祭が終わった後)。祝詞が終わったら、祝は外陣の神供を撤す。次に禰宜が進んで、ともに御内陣に入り、御簾を巻き上げて神饌を撤す。御簾を用いず、御拭いにて御台盤を払い拭い終わる(なお、御盃の台紙のことで、その台の紙を取って御拭いとするのである)。両官は御内陣を出る(禰宜が先に出て土居にて一拝した後)。祝が御戸を閉め、転供人が御錠包を授かり退下する。両官は片岡社に到り巡拝し、透廊・渡殿の座に着く。 【左丁】 今日の御饗は例の通り、自分の取り分を計り上げて、歩射への参向の時には職分を止める。よって二人分になるのである。     十六日 歩射御神事 未刻(午後二時ごろ)に御参の案内を三度申す。申刻(午後四時ごろ)の頃合いに、各々が庁屋の座に着く。社司各員は束帯を着し、矢取の小童は浄衣・指貫を着す。今日は御棚会の神供・直会を行う(今日は目代の沙汰により、兼庁屋に幔幕を引き、御酒の継目の土器は沙汰人がこれを設ける。その他一式は目代の沙汰による)。神主座・祝座の御饗の続き目をこれを設ける。社司の次に所司・別当・目代・預等が着座する(禰宜方の次に預・所司、祝方の次に別当・目代)。その次に矢取の小童が着座する。新精進頭人は切板の下、西上・南面。古精進頭人は西上・北面。勧盃を行う(ただし十手より一人ずつ参集し、なお座次に従って着座する)。五献が終わり、新古の精進頭人、その他非職の輩・矢取の小童等は退座する。新精進頭人は石歩射に参向する。次に日夕の御饌を進め発す(ただし目代が酒殿を出るのを見て、当番社司が起座して田口日供を進め発す。朝の御料は常の刻限の通り、朝夕ともに直相いである)。次に目代が酒殿より出仕し、庁屋の縁に着いて、歩射の手合わせの差符を書く。

**[Right folio]** Next, the two officials recite the norito (liturgy) — this is after the Tsuchimatsuri (earth ritual) at Kataoka Shrine has been completed. When the norito is finished, the Hōri clears the divine offerings from the outer sanctuary (ge-jin). Then the Negi advances and they both enter the inner sanctuary together, roll up the blinds, and remove the divine offerings (shinsen). Without using the blinds, they wipe and clean the sacred table (go-daiban) with the o-nugui (sacred cloth) — (this refers specifically to the paper placed under the sacred cups; that paper is taken and used as the o-nugui). The two officials exit the inner sanctuary (the Negi exits first and makes a single bow at the doi, after which the Hōri closes the sacred door, and the tensō-nin receives the lock wrapper and withdraws). The two officials proceed to the Kataoka Shrine for a circuit of worship, then return and take their seats in the tōrō (covered corridor) and Watadono. --- **[Left folio]** Today's offerings/feast (go-kyō) follow the usual custom: one tallies and contributes one's own portion, but upon departing for the Hosha (walking archery) ceremony, one's official duties (shokubu) are suspended. Accordingly, it becomes a portion for two. --- **Sixteenth Day: The Hosha Divine Ritual (Walking Archery Ceremony)** Around the Hour of the Sheep (approximately 2 p.m.), the call to attendance (an-nai) is announced three times. Around the Hour of the Monkey (approximately 4 p.m.), each person takes their seat in the chōya (official hall). The shrine officials (shashi) each wear formal court dress (sōkoku), while the arrow-collecting pages (yatori-kodomo) wear plain white garments (jōe) and split trousers (sashinuki). Today, the divine offerings and naorai (post-ritual communal meal) for the go-tanakai (御棚会, shelf ceremony/assembly) are conducted — (today, by order of the Mokudai, curtains are hung in the Kanechōya; the earthenware used for the relay of sacred sake is set out by the satonin, while everything else is managed by the Mokudai). The seating for the feasting courses following the Kannagi's seat and the Hōri's seat is arranged accordingly. After the shrine officials (shashi), the shoshi (所司), the bettō (別当), the mokudai (目代), and the azukari (預) and others take their seats — (on the Negi's side: next come the azukari and shoshi; on the Hōri's side: next come the bettō and mokudai). After them, the arrow-collecting pages take their seats. The new shōjin-tōnin (精進頭人, the ritual abstinence leaders newly assigned) sit below the cutting board, with west as the head of the table, facing south. The senior (old) shōjin-tōnin sit with west as the head, facing north. The ceremonial rounds of sake (kambai) are performed — (however, one person from each group of ten assembles, duly seated in order of precedence). When the five rounds (go-ken) are finished, the new and old shōjin-tōnin, as well as non-officiating persons and the arrow-collecting pages, withdraw from their seats. The new shōjin-tōnin proceed to the stone walking-archery range (ishi-hosha). Next, the daily evening divine meal offering (nichi-yū no mi-kashiwa) is dispatched — (however, watching for the Mokudai to exit the sake hall, the duty shrine official rises from his seat and dispatches the Taguchi daily offerings; the morning offering follows the usual time schedule, with both morning and evening being direct/straightforward). Next, the Mokudai proceeds from the sake hall, takes a seat on the veranda of the chōya, and writes out the match-pairing certificates (sashifu) for the hosha competition.
