【Right Page】
Next, the head priest and others each take their seats at the curtained seating area (facing west in order of northern precedence, specifically the shrine officials, shrine deputy, purification head, etc.)
Next, the director deputy brings aoi hollyhock and katsura laurel and distributes them to the head priest and other shrine officials and clan members, who each insert them in their hair (however, the director deputy remains wearing outdoor footwear)
Next, the shrine attendants, divine offering bearers, rear attendants, etc. each still gather (however, from this point the arrow-sword priest offers the sacred meal first)
Next, each performs ritual hand washing, with the director master officiating
Next, they order the courtyard fire to be extinguished (however, all the attendants of the shrine officials are made to withdraw completely)
Next, the five officials make sacred offerings (in this ceremony, first one public offering is made first - shrine attendants bring it and present it to the five officials. Next, each of the five officials holds and adds one private offering, performing two-stage double prostrations and prayers. However, this is done while seated. In ancient times, all twenty-one officials had offering ceremonies, but now this is not done)
【Left Page】
Next, the arrow-sword priest approaches before the five officials' seats and distributes offerings to each of the five shrines
Next, they bring the sacred chest of divided offerings
Next, the arrow-sword priest and five shrine attendants bring the sacred sakaki (the assistant deputy prepares it - over five shaku long with branches and leaves). The head priest and the five officials each tie and hang four-fold paper streamers on the sakaki branches (there is oral tradition for this)
Next, they erect the sacred sakaki at the front of the sacred birth place, and after three drawings, it becomes the divine procession
Next, the shrine officials and clan members each rise from their seats and take their places at the sacred hall seats (laying out long platforms, facing west in northern order)
Next, the court music officials sound the rhythm of wooden clappers and perform secret songs
Next, the shrine officials and others each move from their seats and bow respectfully
