Each forms a line and stands. They face west with north being the superior position. However, during rain ceremonies, at the bottom of the offering hall steps they arrange lower hems, and also upper hems at the bottom of the steps.
Next, each of the shrine officials of Tsuchiya rises from their seats, and the negi and hafuri separate and take their seats in the corridor. In this ceremony, they rise from their seats upon seeing that each shrine official has completed the sacred treasure ceremony. Sitting bows, shoe bows, etc. are as usual. Next, the chief priest, negi group, etc. cross the Negi Bridge, while the hafuri group crosses the Hafuri Bridge. Below the Jade Bridge, the Yin-Yang Master purifies the bodies of the shrine officials, and the shrine officials respond accordingly. Next, when crossing the Jade Bridge, they perform one bow at Kataoka Shrine and enter the Sakura Gate. Prior to this, the ritual child (imiko) comes forth (waiting at the ritual child's building) and waits at the bottom of the eastern steps at the shrine precincts. The rotating service clansmen have the negi and hafuri groups separate and take seats in the transfer hall. In that ceremony, when the hafuri group advances the sacred treasures and the two torii, each confers together, descends from the feast hall, performs shoe bows and one bow each at the temporary shrine and main shrine, heads toward the eastern imperial supply house, and waits with forbearance for the shrine officials to come forth. When each shrine official has finished taking their seats in the corridor, the rotating service clansmen take their seats in the transfer hall. However, when passing through Wakamiya's worship hall, they perform one bow. The two senior members sit near the shrine officials facing south with west as superior, while the following members sit facing each other north and south.
